Nice park, especially for families. Lots of tent sites. Lots of trees and grass. We were in the "Eden" section (used to be extended stay sites) and had a huge site with cement pad and a 12'x 12' wooden deck, flowers and a fire pit. The site backed onto a forest with plenty of room for a screen tent. (site #318). The resort provides a shuttle to the beach as well as a free parking lot at the beach....however, good luck getting a parking place! The "Blue Angels" practice fly-overs was a bonus! We would definitely return if we could get the same site.
Beautiful park-like setting (even a mansion!), lots of grass with either gravel or cement pads with very large sites. It rained every afternoon but the drainage was good so there was no flooding of sites. The restrooms were toothbrush clean, and the showers had built-in tile benches, lots of towel/clothes hooks and shelves inside the showers for your shampoo, etc! It's very convenient to Charleston but quiet. We would definitely return.
We loved this park. Our site (#81) was very large, had a waterfall and a very nice patio set. The advertised 5 star restaurant, Sunset Grille, is no lie....it truly is one with a reputation all the way back in Arizona...fabulous food! The park is central to Hilton Head (6 miles) and to beautiful Savannah (25 miles). We hated to leave and will definitely be returning someday.
A fun, funky park. We came for 3 nights and stayed 2 weeks. It's central to everything and a short walk to Fort Myers Beach, 6 miles from Sanibel. Since it was off-season, we had a premier spot, backed up on the lagoon that had lots of roosting and feeding birds. Very friendly staff....we would definitely come here again.
If you want to be close to DisneyWorld and Universal Studios, this is the place to be! The park is older but undergoing renovation with a new owner. The staff is absolutely delightful, lots of activities for families and the cafe food is delicious. Due to the age of the park (which is very green and pretty) there are some problems; however, the staff is immediately responsive to any needed repairs. We will definitely return.
Truly a "Treasure". Just a few years old, the park is very neat and clean and new. We stayed here just 2 nights, but would have stayed longer had we known how delightful it was. The sites are long and wide and the staff very accommodating. Just 5 miles from some great restaurants in Fort Pierce.
Key West is expensive and the park was built in 1963 so the spaces are very small and short. However, once you are in (somewhat of a challenge although the staff is very helpful at directing) it is a very pleasant park and only 5 miles from downtown Key West. It is very close to a bike path that goes around the island. We would stay here again.
Beautiful park with huge sites, trees, grass, picnic tables, biking and walking trails to a big lake....even little green parrots! It's quite close to the Turnpike and Florida Highway A1A but is very quiet. We would definitely stay there again, if there is room...they are very booked for season.
We kind of enjoyed this park for 2 nights. Inspite of the fact that it is out in the middle of nowhere, rundown and needs upgrading, we had a nice view of the estuary and enjoyed slamming the fish-cleaning house door to attract the large alligators to the dock. Also, a great wetlands bird-watching place. Some of the seasonal people were still there who were very friendly and told us that the park is almost full during season. They have a great clubhouse where they had an ice cream social and a resident bluegrass jam session. We would return for a few nights again if we are ever in the area.
